BEST PLACE FOR GLUTEN FREE/VEGAN FINE DINING!!! Super fancy, absolutely delicious, amazing atmosphere with the live musicians. My fiance and I were swooning over how luxurious our anniversary dinner was. Its been a long time since we've found a place that meets our dietary restrictions AND makes us feel like we had a real fancy night out. Cannot recommend this place enough. Also, try the silk route feast! Its worth every penny!!

Welcome drinks were a perfect start to the experience. We ordered two meal plates that come with unlimited items. Excellent hospitality that you don’t find generally these days. The staff takes care of everything in detail. They gave us some amazing cookies and a mango drink for free.

A fantastic spot to enjoy a mix of Eastern dishes all in one platter( refill as you want) & live music ! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff are genuinely kind. They went the extra mile to celebrate my daughter’s birthday with a lovely dessert and a handwritten card—it truly made our evening memorable. We’ll definitely be back for the amazing food and top-notch service!

This was one of the best restaurants I have been to in Vancouver. The service was 10, the waitresses are super nice and attentive to make sure you do not miss anything. The tavern atmosphere is lively with live music was amazing. One of the best experiences, I am very grateful. Also after dinner they gave me 2 cookies and 1 tea for breakfast the next day. I totally recommend it to other people

This restaurant is a hidden gem! I went on a Monday evening with last minute reservation. Little did we know that we would be greeted with a welcome delicacy Mango Lassie upon arrival and our superb waitress Sophia and the crew did such an amazing job making us feel really treated well. I ordered every single dish on the Silk Route Feast except for one and at the end we got a surprise treat of free dessert on the house and free cookies as we left! Truly an experience to count. Would come back again! Thank you for your hospitality, East is East!!

This place was such a vibe. The atmosphere was on point, as soon as I walked in, I felt like I’d left Vancouver completely. Super exotic, warm, and immersive, like stepping into a whole other world. We got lucky with a live music performance the night we went even though it’s an extra 5 per person, but was honestly worth it. It was so chill, and comforting. We went for the Silky Route Feast, which I highly recommend. It lets you try a bit of everything, from the chicken kebab to the lamb curry, spinach paneer, and mango chicken. Every dish was flavourful and tasty. The drinks are nice too, apple lemon ginger chai was my fav. Will come back again for sure!

Wednesday, Chinese harp was so nice. Atmosphere was well mixed art and culture. Many vegan choices. filling of rolls were truly delicious. I prefer roti, rice and fillings are separated. I hope they have small prtion of dal bhat tarkari as well. Chai is premade with milk and chai with plant based milk were made with only green tea, so, I skipped chai.

Amazing service and unforgettable experience! The service at East is East was truly exceptional. While we were waiting to be seated, they offered each of us a small cup of their famous Apple Lemon Ginger Tea, which I absolutely loved! I even ordered a full cup during dinner because it was so good. We chose the All You Can Eat Dinner, and the whole dining experience was fantastic. The servers were very attentive — whenever they saw we were finishing our food, they kindly helped us place the next round of dishes. This thoughtful gesture really minimized our wait time between courses. Special thanks to Hira, Sasini, and Bhumi for their warm and attentive service! The ambiance was absolutely magical — with stunning decor, cozy wooden interiors, and a peaceful, soulful vibe. I felt transported. On top of that, we were lucky enough to enjoy not just one but two live music performances during our dinner: a mesmerizing harp performance and a soulful violin set that added so much depth to the evening. This was my first visit, and I’m genuinely impressed by every detail — from the warm hospitality to the cozy atmosphere and delicious food. Highly recommended! I’ll definitely come back again with my family.
